TEMIZ DVB-Amide MP Resin is a polymeric resin based on highly stable DVB-Styrene with polar non-ionic amide groups.
This resin is quite unique on the market. It combines surface polar amide groups with a highly stable cross-linked polystyrene base.

The resin is characterized by its good rigidity and an exceptionally high loading of amide groups lending it a novel and unique polarity nature in between hydrophobic RP adsorbents and polar IEX resins.
On the resin surface, the abundant amide groups render the resin easily water-wettable. The good compatibility with water will ensure a quick adsorption process. It also does not require a preceding conditioning step with using organic solvents to wet the resins prior to use of the resin in separations.
Smaller particles 75-150 µm are available upon request.
Temiz DVB-Amide MP is instantly wettable with water.
Applications
Use this resin where conventional RP resins are too hydrophobic, or use this resin where IEX resins are too polar. Because, compared to very hydrophobic reversed phase (RP) adsorbents consisting of cross-linked polystyrene and compared to very polar ion exchange (IEX) resins with their charged surfaces, this resin offers an unique intermediate polarity value. The versatile intermediate polarity fills a selectivity niche between the two extremes. The non-ionic nature and the balanced ratio of hydrophobic and hydrophilic moeities might enable separations that were difficult on either RP or IEX materials. This balanced property might also facilitate the elution of bound substances to recover valuable compounds. Likese, it facilitates regeneration so that the resin can be re-used after a mild washing sequence.
